Altamont Summit Apartment Homes

Altamont is the only apartment complex that has actually renewed my faith as a renter - the staff, both office and maintenance, are extremely kind, thorough, and QUICK to respond. They will get any repairs done within 24 hours, leave a breakdown of what was done when leaving, and are very respectful of property (wearing booties to make sure no dirt or damage comes in, moving fragile items gently, etc). They also notify you when they’re coming to check if you’re home or not regardless of the kind... of work. The office is always sending out helpful notes about upcoming construction, maintenance that could be loud, or updates about anything and everything. The entire complex is clean, beautifully kept, and peaceful even with standard traffic. Their gym is both beautiful to look at and functional - I actually use it! And don’t even get me started on their adoration for animals - they love any and all critters, will refund your adoption fees, and love updates about them!

All in all, I can’t say enough - I love this place. Been here almost a year and have zero issues with the way things are run and the overall quality. Renewed our lease without a single thought (and I’m on the pickier side)! Love you, Altamont! Thank you so much!! Lee mas

Wonderful community. Older property, but very well maintained/clean. Super dog friendly. Abbie is amazing!

I toured ~30 different apartment complexes before choosing Altamont. My decision was based on finding a place in the area that was clean, safe, good quality interiors, unique, nice facilities, and decent pricepoint. Altamont had all of the above. Outside of this, when I needed things fixed during my initial walkthrough, the staff were on it the next day. The staff that helped me with my lease were phenomenal - kind and caring, sweet, honest, and they helped me find the unit that fit me- I can't... recommend them enough. It was a world of difference from other lease offices I walked into where the staff couldn't be bothered to say hi, and seemed rude or like they didn't want to be there.

As an added bonus- Altamont has trails nearby, beautiful views, is safe and secure as a gated community, and is very pet friendly.

I am a recent former resident that lived at Altamont for almost 12 years, so there had to be some good reasons to stay so long right?

Pros:
- Location, location, location! It's right off 205 and close to many businesses and shopping areas on 82nd, but at the same time it is far enough away that it's relatively quiet and not a lot of street noise.
- The apartment buildings are clean, well kept and well lit at night, and the same goes for the common areas.
- Current management and staff are... very responsive to residents, and I feel like they genuinely care about residents' concerns.
- Maintenance is typically very quick to respond to requests when something is broken. My fireplace went out in the winter one year and they came to my apartment within 10 minutes to fix it.

Cons:
- Parking, as others have mentioned. Also due to the sheer size of the community, having enough visitor parking spots to accommodate guests coming over was always been a problem. If someone did park in my reserved spot, it was a hassle finding somewhere else to park until the violator left or could be towed.
- Theft and particularly car break-ins were a problem in recent years. Management tried to address this with evening security patrols. I personally have not experienced any incidents but known others that have.

No apartment community is going to be perfect and I don't doubt the experiences others have detailed in some of the negative reviews.

Through the years I saw the turnover in management and staff, and sometimes the care and attention to the residents' experience suffered. But overall the positives far outweighed the negatives in my time here!
