Dumpy units, Dishonest Property Management

We lived here for around 4 years and recently moved out in March of 2024 or so. The Apartment layout is great, unfortunately we lived in the back row adjacent to Kuebler , so depending on time of day, traffic can be LOUD......The inside of the apartments are dumpy and in desperate need of updating, the apartment is HOT in the summer and COLD in the winter.....They have electric base board heat do not have central AC, so be prepared for high electric bill......plenty of other issues with this... property, but that is for another review.....The biggest issue I want to warn current and future tenants about is the corporate property management company that took over management of this property earlier this year.....Be mindful that the spoken word counts for nothing with them, any agreement or whatever, make sure you get it in WRITING.......When we moved out, we were told by the onsite manager that our apartment would be remodeled, so don't worry about any type of repairs.....we had the apartment professionally cleaned and when my spouse did check walk thru with onsite property manager, no mention of any charges was made......Imagine our surprise when we were informed that we were charged 1,500 for "carpet repairs".... and sent a vague invoice that also had $98 for painting.....So odd as that was the exact amount of our deposit plus charges, I am sure it cost more to carpet entire unit........We immediately responded by email and certified USPS that we would not pay and wanted our deposit back......They responded that they would let us know via USPS their position....So here we are 7 WEEKS later, and no meaningful response......When I inquired last week regarding situation, I was told that the person handling our case had quit and that they would get to back to me in few days.....So a week later I inquired again and was told that since I had requested documents substantiating their charges, they needed more time......So we will be headed to court to resolve our situation.....For you the public, I want you to warned about what you are dealing with if you decide to rent here....Feel free to make up your mind, they are "Now Renting".......

Run down old apts

These apts so old and run down. They haven’t done any updates in the few years I’ve lived here. Now they have a new management company Norris & Stevens and a new landlords, who are rude. Giving us all these rules that we never agreed to when we moved in. The one that’s really making me mad is the water spickets outside that we can’t use anymore. So no more gardening for me!
