definitely think twice before moving here

The apartments look great from the outside, and the tours were impressive—clearly designed to show you only the best parts. The first couple of weeks after moving in were fine, and I loved the location since it’s close to everything I need and near my work. But I moved in at the end of May, and it’s now October, and the closest elevator to me has been broken for months. That’s completely unacceptable. I don’t mind taking the stairs sometimes, but if I’m paying for amenities, I expect them to... actually work and be fixed quickly.

The gates are constantly malfunctioning—either they won’t open or close properly, and the badge access system is barely functional. They also promised to fix the smoggy windows, but when I brought it up, they acted like they had no idea what I was talking about.

And don’t get me started on the pool. Summer’s over, yet the pool stayed filthy all season. Maybe there was only one maintenance worker, but it was disgusting.

The stairwells are never cleaned, and honestly, I regret signing a lease here. This place looks nice on the outside, but once you settle in, it’s a completely different story. When my lease is up, I’m ready to put in my notice. Would definitely think twice before moving here

WARNING NOT ACCEPTABLE APT

COCKROACHES, cockroaches found a very large cockroach in bathtub. tried pest control, did not work, elevator breaks down at least once a month, cars stolen, no cameras in parking garage, actually a slum area, gun shots heard, cannibas used, courtesy patrol do not answer calls, in matter of fact their number was not connected with patrol number provided, management tried charges not backed up, mis management, mgt enters apt w/o permission, maintenance workers steal food or enter w/o permission,... constant garage entrance not working, many bad people, no upgrades, ugly breezeways, smoke detectors down many times, alarms go off with no reason, fake personalities by all. Left bought home

Do not rent here!

The apartment complex upon first viewing is lovely but that only hides the poor management by Sharon, Trish, and the rest of South Oxford Management. They're nice and courteous when touring you around the complex but lack care or concern when it comes to complaints, understanding, and apartment issues. This is my breakdown after living here for 2 years:
1. Annoyingly long wait time in order to have already broken items fixed in the apartment unit. Idk if the complex is cheap at hiring helpers...
but having only one person to work on issues for every apartment is dumb.
2. Security is garbage. When I arrived there was a security guy who walked the floors. They fired him because he didn't walk the floors and kick people out of the pool at the same time...weird. Now there's new security and all he does is sit in his golf cart watching videos on his phone...
3. If you don't mind having your storage unit broken into (or garage), this is the place for you! Ours was broken into and luckily there was a camera facing our unit. Management had no idea it existed...that's sad. And after talking to management they literally told us "there's hours of video and it would be hard to watch it all". Lazy...
4. Enjoy the serenades of gunshots at night?! Randomly in the wee mornings? This is the place for you! Because across the street (Singleton Blvd) that happens often.
5. The pool was lovely especially when you had the dallas skyline in the background. Well that's all gone now and your view is the construction of another apartment complex. On top of that, people down the street who clearly don't live in the complex love to hop the fence and come to the pool trashing it up then leaving.
6. It's one thing to rent to upstanding or credible people. It's another thing to just rent to anybody and everybody to meet a quota. The quality has clearly decreased.
7. If you like fire alarms going of randomly throughout the day or in the middle of the night, this is definitely your spot. Btw, these aren't caused by actual fires...
8. Hope you don't need to use the elevators because they're CONSTANTLY BROKEN! CONSTANTLY! Same with the gates to get to the garage. All the money you pay for rent and crap doesn't work...

Trust me and other actual review when we say DO NOT RENT HERE!

DO NOT RENT HERE!

DO NOT RENT HERE! I cannot stress this enough. Elevators being constantly inoperable, constant management turnover and slow response back from any inquiry are just some of the issues that you will encounter. It is not in a great neighborhood and it is not the safest place at night. There are plenty of great apartment communities in the Dallas area, and this is not one of them. With any of the typical reviews, you will see a comment from the management team, asking to contact the community... so that they can help to resolve the issue. It’s jibberish, and just a way for the management team to show as though they care, but really do not. You are locked into a lease, so it is not in the interest of the team to resolve an issue. DO NOT RENT HERE!
