Current renter
I have been living at this complex for 3 years, and since Asset Living has taken over management, it has been an infuriating experience. I LOVED the management we had right before them. They charged me a late fee during the management transition when the system was down and it took me 8 months to receive that $100 back. And I only got a response because I threatened to email and call them every day until I got the refund. When you submit complaints, they go unanswered. At one point my AC was... broken for months during the fall... and it wasn't until I threatened legal action and to legally abandon my unit. Even then, the maintenance person took a look and told me that it was frozen and to turn off the air for a could hours...which did nothing. Eventually I checked the AC and there was MOLD everywhere and my filter was like 3 inches thick of dust... I had been sick for a month and that was the reason. I let the apartment know that their maintenance person obviously saw mold and my filter looking absolutely disgusting, and they didn't care. It still took them a week to change out my filter. They are also never in the office and never answer the phone. They are terrible and I can't wait for management to inevitably switch again. The community is full of tenants that have been there as long/longer than me. But I've seen at least 2 people abandon their lease because of the management.
