Virginia Square Towers

The good…The build is in a good location with restaurants and grocery stores in walking distance as well as the metro. The building concierge is very polite and helpful and the cleaning staff keeps community areas clean…ok now the bad. The building is filled with college age adults who party in Clarendon late into the night then come back to the building at 2-3am yelling in the hallways and slamming doors. I’ve come home multiple times to find marijuana delivery service business cards on my door... . The apartments on average are very small and expensive compared to other buildings in the area. If you live here you will hear loud slamming through your ceiling on a regular basis. Management does nothing when you bring it up.

I had a very easy and pleasant experience with Virginia Square Towers! My tour was with Marilyn and she was an incredible guide around the building. She thoroughly went over the available units and helped me picture which each would be like. For example, which direction they would be facing and potential views/ light. After my tour, her and Johanie immediately answered any remaining questions that I had and made me feel greatly supported!

My fiance and I have lived in our 1 bedroom apartment for 15 months and we absolutely love our unit. Our view is amazing from the 11th floor and we get lots of natural/direct light which initially sold us. The apartment features (kitchen appliances, flooring/carpet, etc.) are very nice and modern. Overall, the noise level is very good, we've never had issues with sleeping or anything like that. However, there is a tenant on our floor whose dog is constantly barking. First of all, having pets is... against the lease and management absolutely ignores this rule (it seems like half the building has a dog). Secondly, when we complained multiple times about the noise we never got any response at all. Also, there was someone on our floor who smoked we3d multiple times a week and we could smell it from inside our apartment. We also complained about this and never heard back. Management provides very short notice when there is scheduled maintenance for the apartment complex (less than a week). And they only provide these notices in/around the elevators on a piece of paper (could they not easily send out an email?). Overall, our experience living here has been outstanding, but if you get unlucky with a noisy or disruptive neighbor, good luck having anything done about it. Lee mas

I really do love this building, but I am starting to regret renewing my lease for a second year. My neighbor blasts music so loudly either throughout the day and/or night, even past midnight at times, that I not only hear but feel everything (the vibrations of the booming of the bass and the drums). Despite the front desk’s efforts to call security to check and notify, seems like there’s no way to resolve this issue and existing protocols dealing with noise complaints seems to be ineffective.... The noise just keeps getting louder. So basically the floors are a bit too thin to protect you from rude neighbors. If this is an issue for you, I suggest you look elsewhere to reside. Trust me. This is not worth losing your sanity. I’ve gotten sick over this for not being able to rest for days. Lee mas
