Referred to as the Jewel of Texas Hill Country, Canyon Lake is anchored by its namesake body of water. Canyon Lake has several lakefront parks like Overlook Park, so scuba diving, kayaking, fishing, and other watersports are very common pastimes here. With large pastures, wooded streets, and proximity to San Antonio, Canyon Lake merges suburban convenience with a rural setting. The town is family-oriented and has great schools, along with affordable rentals. There are large single-family houses, ranches, and mid-rise apartments for rent at various prices. Canyon Lake has few shopping and dining options, but Highway 46 and Route 281 allow residents to easily travel into San Antonio and surrounding communities.
