Nothing But Trouble

These apartments are so tempting due to being so close to the beach, but don't be fooled, they are a mess. There is about 30 coats of cheap paint on the walls and door frames. So much paints that the doors will not close unless you scrap off about 10 layers of more. The appliances are sketchy. My oven never worked, the refrigerator only opened half-way and the AC blew sorta cold air and there was no heat. In the bathroom, the shower had ONLY hot water (they had put the shower control in wrong... and wouldn't fix it) so they had turned down the water heater to the point that you have to boil water to wash dishes. Every thing is "rigged". Nothing is ever actually fixed. The roof leaks, the sinks leak.. the carpet smells of cigarettes. (I don't smoke)
They have a manager on site, but he stays at the pier fishing 90% of the time. He moves just about anyone in. There was a drug dealer below me and a drug addict next to me and they had some serious fights. Speaking of fights.. did I mention all the homeless sleeping in the stairway?
For the price, you can move into the building a few blocks north and have a much nicer place.
