Woodlake Park Apartments

In this apartment, we have faced many problems. From both the building itself and the staff. There was a leak in the ceiling that they made into a hole covered by cardboard which they left that way for 3 months and now it's leaking again. Some rooms are very hot and others are very cold and have affected this family's health. We have discussed this with the office staff and maintenance team multiple times but they have always made excuses, been dismissive, and rude. They talk over you and refuse... to listen despite making this apartment uninhabitable. Especially the property manager, Linda. She interrupts, yells, lies, and throws your notice at you when you try to give it to her as the law says to do. Another two issues we have faced is the unsanitary state of the dog park as no one ever cleans after their pets. And the fact that at 3 AM, the sprinklers reek of noxious odors which could potentially have bacteria or even toxic gas which all goes in through the floor to ceiling window for you to breathe in. This is also a non-smoking community yet everyone smokes on their balcony. The property manager retaliated against us by falsely accusing us of smoking inside the apartment with absolutely zero proof. Don't trust them. The whole experience has been great. Starting from the tour of the apartments and around the property. The apartments have a classy feel, large floorplans, big closets (most are walk ins), really good relaxing park style views. The staff we met were awesome. The grounds were very clean, saw people out walking their dogs on leashes and talking to each other like good neighbors do. There is a large, gated dog park for pets to run around in and socialize. Totally satisfied with the maintenance crew, fixed issues in a timely and professional manner. The management team has been helpful setting up our new lease on our new apartment. Been here for several years, it’s a nice quiet place to live.

We lived here for years and it was quiet and nice. The apartments are a bit older, but everything was maintained well, including the grounds. It went downhill starting in 2022 when they did construction on the units for an entire year. I could not do any work at home and I lost income. We had an ugly washer and dryer in our living room the entire time, because they had to remake the patio and there was nowhere to put it. I am totally fine with construction and improvements. I have nothing... against that. It's just that we could have had a discount to make up for having to do laundry elsewhere, or at least remove the fees for having a washer and dryer connection and not give us the runaround. No one knew what was going on. When we called, staff was super rude and cut me off when I asked about an ETA about when things would be finished. I could not have company over and I had to try and leap over these nasty washer and dryers in my already tiny living room. I have a spinal issue and it was a very difficult and stressful time, and the hammering and debris/trucks in the way for a year. Also, I had to lug those huge things back to the patio myself, and they never told us the patio was available to use again. I only found out by asking neighbors. I feel perhaps they did this to not only spruce up the place, but so they can get rid of tenants so they can raise the price. They also started leaving rude and aggressive notes and emails about issues and new rules, basically their way or the highway. I had to move out for my sanity and wellbeing, and so did all other neighbors in my building. They also have been raising rent every year too much for what you get. Awful construction for over a year. Could not sleep. Zero accommodations or anything to make it right. 10% rate increase year over year. New staff took over and is rude. Old everything inside. Regular water disconnects. Limited pool and gym access. Discontinued use of personal grills and failed to provide public grilling options. Crime and stray cats galore. Do not waste your money
