NEVER RENT FROM HERE
My daughter had just been released from the hospital with pneumonia. We live on the 3rd floor with no elevator, carrying hospital bags, and got locked out. I called the office, explained everything — sick child, heat, third floor — and was told someone would come. No one came.
Then they said “policy” changed and I had to drive to the office, show ID, get a spare key, go back upstairs, unlock the door, then return the key. I did all that — the key didn’t work. I called 8+ times. No answer.
I... drove back and found the office locked while both leasing agents rode around laughing in a golf cart. When they finally returned, they claimed a “maintenance emergency,” which leasing agents don’t even handle.
I asked them to come make sure the new key worked. They said “policy” didn’t allow it. After I mentioned I used to work for ZRS, suddenly one agreed — contradicting everything.
When she unlocked the door, she said:
“Your door is now unlocked, see?”
I said I wanted the regional manager’s name. She replied:
“You worked for ZRS — you know not to cause a scene.”
I never caused a scene. My sick daughter was sweating outside in 90-degree heat because they ignored calls and locked the office.
The property manager later defended all of it, saying staff “followed policy.” I read the policy myself — none of what they claimed is actually written. She admitted the “maintenance emergency” wasn’t real: one agent was opening a self-tour door, and the other picked her up because she didn’t want to walk back.
Meanwhile, my daughter waited outside in the heat.
They don’t care about residents, families, or emergencies.
I won’t be quiet about this.
