Mila Apartments

When I moved in (2018), it started out well. Very good price, office staff was professional and considerate, maintenance was excellent. It was great to move into a brand-new apartment as well. However, from 2018 – until I moved out in 2021, the security gates and parking were a mess -- poor planning with not enough spots for the residents. And the gate was subpar and not user friendly. I spent most of my time trying to explain to my guests and delivery people on how to get through the gate. And… whomever came up with that particular kind of keyless lock on the front door should be fired.

I spent over 6 months with maintenance calls of my door not working. Maintenance would change the battery each time and I kept insisting that it was not the battery. They continued to ignore my requests to replace the lock. Finally, someone changed the lock after over 6 months of me calling for maintenance because I couldn't lock my door at the most inconvenient times. Each year, service got worse as rent increased. After they opened back up after COVID, it really got worse. Each maintenance request required 3 steps 1) submitting a request online, 2) then calling the office MULTIPLE times, 3) then finally going to the office before someone would come to my apartment for simple maintenance requests. The property manager is unprofessional and inconsiderate and really it is not a surprise that her office staff is unprofessional and inconsiderate.

Then when I moved out, I had my apartment professionally cleaned at my expense, did the walk-through with a maintenance guy and he gave me the all-clear however, I still got bogus expenses taken out of my security deposit. There was absolutely no damage to my apartment and it was beyond clean from top to bottom. The rent they charge is not worth it! I am HAPPY that I moved out of there. The complex is clean, pool is clean, team is very nice and help you out whatever you ask. My apartment is beautiful and new, the appliances are new as well. The only bad thing here is neighbors who don’t clean up after their dogs, with the Miami heat you kind smell poop everywhere near the grass… Otherwise, it is very pleasant to live here. And Madie Ives K8 school around is a good school for kids.

This property is a beautiful place for a quiet little place to call home. I moved in two years ago and am not looking to move anytime soon. Sure, there’s a little noise and sometimes the gates act up, but the management team is on it right away. I’ve even seen them stand out to assist people at the gates until 10-11 PM. They really care about the residents happiness. Such a great team. I’m happy here and know anyone else would be too.

This is such a grand property! Beautiful lake views and amazing amenities. The Gym is huge and another one is being built, so there will be two gyms! The pool is amazing and kids playground is vibrant and perfect for my little ones. Don't waste your time looking at other places. This should be your first and last stop!
