Too much regrets
There seem to be too much confusion among the realtors. No one seems to be sure about anything, I have been a victim of conflicting information on too many occasions. Maintenance issues are handled with a delay of weeks or you will have to constantly go to the office and request that the problem be rectified. Based on my experience, they are just unreliable & not trustworthy

Awfully ran apartment complex
So before I came to Heritage I was enticed by their low rent but I told them before signing the lease that I was active duty Air Force, about to be medically retired, so I wouldn’t be staying the full 12 months of the contract. I was then told by the property manager that as long as I showed them my orders to get out of the Air Force I would be fine breaking the lease with no penalty.
My apartment was kept immaculately clean and the maintenance workers there said my apartment was one of the... best kept apartments in the complex. When it came time for me to leave (about 6 months later) I made sure to spot clean anything that needed it and I actually made it look a lot better than it did when I got it. That was September 29th. I emailed them COUNTLESS times about getting my deposit back and they said I “was talking to the wrong person”
I finally got a hold of someone around Thanksgiving that said my $500 deposit was taking care of damages to the apartment and I would only be receiving $300. I had ZERO damages to the apartment and I told her that even the maintenance workers said my apartment was the best kept in the complex. She then said it was a “mix up” and I’d get my entire deposit back.
Fast forward to Christmas and I get a letter in the mail from Collection Bureau in Ft Walton Beach stating I owe $1323 to Heritage Apartments for breaking my lease. Heritage Apartments will not return my calls or emails. This is not how you treat a former tenant or an Air Force Veteran who is medically retired and unable to hold a job. DONT STAY AT HERITAGE, you have been warned.

Heritage Apt. Panama city
The landlord is extremely helpful when moving into these apts. Its clean and quiet and the move was made easier with the help of the staff. So far a Great experience for us! Close to everything including beach and off the main road and quiet at night.

You get what you pay for...
When I first moved here, 4 years ago, it was the cheapest apartment I could afford in Panama City. It seemed like it would be okay but then the property changed hands about 1500 times. Since then I've been called a model tenant, but I'm sure those words are used somewhat loosely. To be honest I don't know if they know what that really means. I pay my rent on time, I don't cause trouble, and I'm quite courteous to my neighbors. However the moment I'm two days late on my rent once, I see a red... nastygram on my door threatening eviction. What happened to the words "model tenant"? Then it came down to resigning my lease and I wasn't sure if I wanted to. "Oh what can we do to make you stay you wonderful person you?" And every request was met with pretty much a ho hum. The fact that I don't pay as much as some apartments ask is the only reason I'm still here.
