Wouldn't live here
Viridian caught our attention because of their offer of a free month’s rent. After an initial visit to the property, I made second visit to the complex to find out exactly which units were eligible for this deal and chose one accordingly. Once we settled in, we were informed that our unit wasn’t included for the special. And that though I’ve noted the unit number and confirmed with Alyssa, the manager mentioned since it wasn’t written or noted by their member, so it didn’t mean anything. Dale,... the manager, informed us we could just move out if we weren’t happy.
Our upstairs neighbors incessantly dragged their furnitures around or dropped heavy objects on the floor and stomped day and night. Tony, the manager, came over to listen but their noise comes on and off irregularly throughout the day he could not assess the level of noise accurately and never did anything about it.
As for community WIFI, they say they have one but if they are working, they are spotty and very slow.
Most of the time, it doesn’t work and they will say they are in the process of fixing it.
The one time we wanted to use the community fire pit, it was broken and remained that way till the day we moved out.
There are “not-so-hidden” fees to consider, as you sign the lengthy lease, you may not pay attention to these but they add up quite a bit. When I say a bit, I mean up to $200.
After nine months, they towed my husband’s car for allegedly missing a resident parking sticker, even though it was clearly visible. Retrieving the car cost us nearly $200. He filed a complaint with management, providing photos from the tow yard that clearly showed the sticker, but we were denied a refund.
Around four months into our stay, we were charged a late fee due to a billing mistake on their part.
I’ve noticed this error because of I paid attention to their billing statement but it can go unnoticed easily and the system is designed so that you cannot track your past billing statements, just month to month. This makes it hard to compare the monthly additional bills and track fee changes.
Also when you move out, don’t forget to return the parking sticker, if it’s lost you need to pay $50. They never mention this to you when you first move in and Alyssa casually mentioned this as I was dropping off the keys and the bracelets.
