Grand Oaks Apartments

The apartments are old and they barely clean up before your move in. I've never lived in apartments where the office was so unprofessional. I can't even pay my rent online anymore because they're not part of Michaelson group anymore and I've had to go to amscot before work or after and get money orders and leave my check in the rigity old and beat up drop box if they weren't in the office. I felt so uneasy leaving my money in that thing. It looked like someone had tried to break into it because... it's dented and vent in the corner. Every time my AC stopped working on the weekend, they wouldn't send the maintenance guy until the Monday. I had to be without AC the whole weekend. There is NO emergency maintenance! An AC issue IS an emergency! The maintenance doesn't really know how to do anything. He replaced my faucet with one that doesn't even match the sink. I moved there when I turned 18 (2009/2010). First place I had ever had. I left early due to mold all over the walls (to which they said was MY fault because they told me I had to have the AC on 75 at all times to prevent that). I can put the AC I'm paying for to whatever I want, thank you. None the less mold got all behind our TV, Couch, Bed etc.. It is now 2016 and they have been steadily renewing this every year on my credit like clock work. They literally just renewed it yesterday. My mom... even offered to give them the money they were asking for the year it happened and they refused it, only to tack on lawyer fees, late fees, cleaning etc. They are completely ridiculous. Don't refuse someones money only to try and destroy their credit later on. That's how petty these people are and that's how petty they are when you live there. They're just rude children. Read More
