Disappointing experience
I was a resident for 2 years and 6 months, and my experience with the management has been deeply disappointing. After moving out, I received a "Move out calculation" notice that deducted my entire security deposit of $2,276 and demanded an additional $724. The charges were excessive and unjust despite leaving the apartment in good condition and addressing concerns such as roach infestations that escalated after a neighboring unit underwent extensive repairs.
When I tried to discuss these... concerns with the management, they did not respond. Even after escalating the issue to the Better Business Bureau, the management failed to provide any response. As a long-term tenant who paid rent on time and adhered to all regulations, I expected fair treatment. Unfortunately, that was not the case.
I strongly caution prospective tenants to consider this lack of responsiveness and fairness before choosing the Uptown Apartment as your next home. Renters deserve transparency and communication, which I found severely lacking in my experience.
