Mold
There are s mold in our “climate controlled” storage area. We have used this storage closet for about 18 months now with no mold issues.
Recently the hallway outside our unit was cleaned. We then had mold grow.
Management refuses to correct this situation.
My actual phone call transcript
Me: there’s mold in our storage unit.
Them: well there aren’t any air conditioner vents or returns in your storage unit.
Me: then how is this billed and considered climate controlled?
Them: because air... comes in under your door
Me: you mean over the wet carpet you had cleaned recently
Them: yes but that’s not why you have mold.
If wet air is coming under the door of the storage unit with no other ventilation, you bet it’s their fault.
Additionally a car is outside our balcony running 7 days a week, 4- 8 hours a day/ evening. The resident works in his very old car all day for some reason. Sometimes he even walks away and leaves the car running by itself. Because the car has such noxious gas and carbon monoxide emissions we are no longer able to sit on our balcony or open our windows as the air gets cooler.
This is against city ordinances and a state ordinance but management refuses to do anything about it. Our building didn’t have an elevator and my knees can’t do the stairs repeatedly so this is my only easy way to have time outdoors.
Additionally management has told me if I send them any more complaints that they deem invalid I’ll be charged with harassment.
