Mizell at Winter Park

The only thing about this complex that keeps it going is the size. The gates don't work ( you're charged for security), No pest control ( you're charged for this also) you are the pest control, unpaved parking (leads to car damage), No amenities (fitness room, basketball court, business office etc) These are only available during office hours and rent does not reflect this deficiency.

These apartments are absolute garbage. They like to pretend like they are a gated community, but the gate hasn't worked in years and the fence is only on the front side of the property, leaving the other three sides completely open.
The maintenance is a joke. If something breaks, it will take them weeks to come, look at it, give it a layer of paint, and then leave. Literally, EVERYTHING was covered in a layer of white paint when we moved it. Kitchen counters? Covered in paint. Bathtub with... crack in it? Covered in paint. Marble counter top bathroom sink that had nothing wrong? ...covered in paint. Why?! To cover the fact that they don't actually fix anything. So maintenance and management don't care about people living at their apartments. As long as you pay that is all that matters. We been here a year and when moved in they said that under new management, which going to make improvement. We haven't seen one improvement in the last year. So our AC isn't working again fully. This is about 5th or 6th time in about 4 months. They even closed out our work order without fixing the issue. With AC running all the time this is going to be our 3rd month with... electric bill over $200 due to them not fixing AC. If I could afford it I would move out, but stuck here for another year. The staff is very slow to respond to maintainence requests. When they do eventually come out to fix something, it still doesnt get fixed. The property is very run down. The AC is constantly freezing up. Plumbing is always an issue but dont call maintainence, its quicker to fix it yourself. Tenants or their guests use illegal drugs in the breezeways and staff doesnt do anything about it. There is always an odor of drugs when walking through a building or even at the playground.
