Stay Away
My living and move-out experience at Granada Apartments was extremely frustrating.
The elevators were constantly down and the tenants were lied to about parts being on backorder. I know this because I reached out to the company they said they ordered the parts from, and the company laughed saying Granada found the parts too expensive.
When one of two elevators was working, it would be shutdowb often due to people urinating in them. Yes. That's true.
Packages were constantly getting stolen... out of the front lobby.
Cars were constantly getting broken into.
A handful of tenants were involved in continued domestic disputes, and as a result of pal these things, seeing police in the hallways was the norm.
On move-out day, both the elevators were malfunctioning, which significantly delayed our movers. What should have been a straightforward move turned into extended labor time and additional truck rental costs because we were forced to wait and work around elevator issues that were outside of our control.
I raised the issue with management and told i would receive partial reimbursement for the additional costs directly caused by the elevator failure.
While the malfunction was acknowledged, management ultimately declined to take responsibility for the financial impact.
I understand that moving involves expenses, but when building infrastructure fails and directly increases a tenant’s costs, there should be some accountability. Instead, the response felt dismissive and procedural rather than solution oriented.
Unfortunately, this situation left a less than poor impression.
One star is too high a rating for this awful building and even worse management. Stay away.
