Canton Mill Lofts

I've been living at Canton Mill Lofts for almost two years and absolutely love this community. While living here, I have made two lifelong friendships and also made many other friends who I regularly share game nights and dinners with.

The community is a huge plus if you're looking for that. People here are super friendly for the most part. That includes the staff, maintenance team, and other residents.

One note for anyone looking to move here: make sure you take your time looking at the... different available units. Each one is unique and has its own quirks. That is something I was unaware of when I moved in, but I absolutely love my loft. It has so much character, and I really appreciate the historical aspect.

The courtyard has permanent hammocks, picnic tables, and a grill. The pool is also clean and open late!

If you have pets, especially a dog, this is a wonderful place for them. Many residents here have dogs, and my dog Bear has really liked having other pups around. The same goes for cats. It is very quiet at night, so I haven't had to worry about my dog getting spooked or bothered by others noise.

As for pricing, I think the rate is fair for the apartment I selected. It is right on par with other apartments in the area. The only thing to keep in mind is that this building is old, so it won't have the more modern perks of a newer building but like I said before, I personally love the historical charm.

If you're not sure about this place based off the online info, go to the leasing office and ask for Jake. He gives amazing advice and can help you make a decision on whether this place is right for you. He is honest, and you can trust he isn't trying to give you a "car salesman" pitch just for a commission.

I have been here for a year now and I can’t express how much I love it! The layout is just beautiful and so spacious, and I love my spiral staircase. The community is so friendly, I’ve made friends with other residents just by walking my dog outside. The office also hosts holiday events and they are so much fun and another great way to meet new people. I haven’t had any issues with roaches in my unit, or any bugs besides mosquitoes outside in the summer which is to be expected. I lived here for almost a year and half. In that time my apartment smelled of weed everyday, and not just a little, it smelled so bad that my friends who do smoke weed were offended. My apartment flooded all the time and debris would fall from my ceiling. I had mold in the walls when they finally came to fix it. I had to live for two months in a work zone. They said they would allow me to move apartments but I would have to resign a lease! Now let’s talk about the pets, people walk their dogs... and don’t pick up after them, There is the free pets, roaches. Roaches everywhere. No matter how clean you are they come from the neighbors. The trash compactor is always overflowing crating a nuisance and the gate never works. I could go on, but you get it.
