Infested and not the the rising rent cost!

Living here has been an extremely difficult process. From the deteriorating units and incompetent staff, to the massive roach infestation, it's been a nightmare to say the least. It's so unfortunate having to be uncomfortable in a place you call home and pay rent for.. I'm going to primarily focus on the pests this review. Residents are charged for pest control automatically, each month. Pest control doesn't even come if you don't call multiple times to get added on the list. So why are we… being charged for a service that 1) isn't guaranteed and 2) doesn't work? Being that these buildings are old, full of cracks, and infested, you would think that pest control would be a service that's required WEEKLY and consistently for all buildings since this is a major concern within the complex. There is no excuse for us having to call and get waitlisted for weeks on in, just to have our unit treated. And again, pest control is a BILL not an option. This is an INFESTATION, not a mild issue, and it needs to be handled properly and efficiently. It is a serious safety hazard that's completely unacceptable and quite frankly, disgusting. It isn't a suitable condition for anyone to be living in, and management doesn't seem to care.

Dishonest

Riverwalk is unprofessional. They sent welcome letter, gave me a move in date, had me connect utilities only to tell me 2 days before I was supposed to move that it would be a different unit. I called and called, left several messages and no response. Was inconvenienced by canceling EVERYTHING, movers etc. So basically came out of money that I DO NOT have to GIVE AWAY. They FINALLY contacted me a week past my move in date saying that I could move in a smaller apartment if I chose, get 25.00 off… of rent or get a FULL refund. I chose the refund. They contacted me back once and told me they could send a check. I have been inquiring about this “check” and once again no response from apts nor management company. Just do your homework before choosing these apartments. Not to mention after the fact, I’m seeing unsatisfactory reviews on this complex EVERYWHERE. The residents are complaining of roaches, maintenance requests not being answered, as well as air not working in this 90 degree weather. SMH!!!!

The Neighborhood and house

When I first came to the apartment I loved it. It was close to my family and friends even stores and fun places. It has a huge pool and the neighborhood is great, one friendly guy George help me around the place and told me near by places that were great to check out he even helped me pay a bill when I was low on money. It’s even affordable for my budget I’m glad I found this apartment it’s a place I can really call home with me and my pet dog.

Roach infested

Roaches everywhere. I woke up from bed and found a huge roach on my bed in my first week of moving in. Please stay away from these disgusting apartments.

Wouldn’t Recommend

Roach infestation, mold, lack of maintenance. I’ve had the property manager come out almost 2 weeks ago & still no change. I’ve put in service request & sent emails with no response. I’ve called & no answer. So you have to show up to the office in person. I’ve been here since March 2021 and I’m looking forward to terminating my lease early. Definitely not worth the emotional distress.
