I am extremely disappointed with my experience and would rate it 0/10.

I submitted an application for an Inclusionary Housing apartment. The program requirement states that applicants must have an annual income not exceeding $64,000. However, my application was denied based on a single month’s income, rather than my annual income.

I contacted the leasing office immediately after receiving the denial to understand how the calculation was made. Grace explained that my income was calculated using… one month’s earnings. She also stated that if I had applied a month earlier, I likely would have been approved. This is concerning because the program is based on annual income eligibility, not whether one particular month included higher earnings due to commissions.

After the denial, I requested a full refund of my application and administrative fees in good faith. I met the program’s annual income requirements, yet my application was denied based on a monthly calculation that did not accurately reflect my annual earnings. Despite multiple emails, phone calls, and an in-person visit to the leasing office, my communications went unanswered, and I never received the promised follow-up.

Initially, Grace wanted to keep my application active for 90 days, but I declined and requested a full refund instead. I was later told I might receive only a partial refund. After waiting approximately two weeks and following up again this week, I was informed that my request for a full refund had been denied.

To add to my disappointment, the property manager Karina never reached back out or call after I visited the office and spoke to the entire team. she told me she would look into it.

I am requesting management review this matter and provide a full refund of all application and administrative fees. I believe I applied in good faith, met the stated annual income requirements for the Inclusionary Housing Program, and should not have been denied based on a single month’s income.
