Camelot.. or Shangri-La
I love my 18th floor corner unit in this impeccably maintained building.
"The Camelot Condominiums" are located smack dab in the middle of Honolulu, with a plethora of great shopping, dining, convenience stores, as well as helpful businesses nearby, and the main freeway at a perfect distance.
The building is a one tier structure, so all units are bright and airy, with wonderful breezes in between entrance and large bay windows opening up onto generous lanais.
Views from the upper floors are... spectacular, scanning across the city, displaying famous Diamond Head Crater, sparkling night time city lights Magic, as well as the weekly Aloha Friday fireworks celebration.. just a hop across town, by the ocean in famous Waikiki.
And close by, gracing the rear vistas of the Camelot, are the lush green hillsides of the Koolau Mountain Range that runs across the island of Oahu, creating that special allure, the majesty of nature and the mystique of urban romance, in contrast.. yet enhancing one another.
Facilities include a fantastic salt water lap pool and large hot tub, surrounded by beautifully kept gardens that meander through a maze of little individual dining nooks, where residents may barbecue and entertain. There is a gym, adjacent to his and hers dry saunas, as well as a game and party room with fully equipped kitchen should you feel like hosting a larger event. The parking garage secures individually assigned spots for each tenant and the guest parking is a big plus in this city.
This is a quiet building, offering as much or as little privacy as desired, and the warmth of onsite property management, as well as the presence and friendly assistance of female security guards, makes one feel well cared for and safe.
Yes indeed, the Camelot is most definitely my Shangri-La, right here in the center of Honolulu.
