Every time we need something done the maintenance was always fast to respond and our concerns were always addressed and fixed right away. They are very professional and friendly, we really appreciate that all the work they do.

I wished I moved in Makai before renting other places because since moving here it’s been nothing but a great experience. Management and maintenance team are quick to respond to any questions or issues I may have. The community feels like family here. Having a gym and pool access is a plus. We love the family events they hold here as well.

Rats!!!! And pest!!!! Ilegal towing

Do NOT move here. This has been one of the worst rental experiences I’ve ever had.

From day one, the unit was not clean or safe. There were visible cockroach residues throughout the apartment, and within just 3 weeks of moving in, we started seeing live rats inside the unit — more than one. There is clearly a pathway in the wall where the rats are getting in and out, which shows this is an ongoing structural issue, not something a tenant “brings.”

When we reported it, the maintenance worker...
actually tried to blame us and said we “brought the rats,” instead of addressing the obvious infestation. Completely unprofessional and unacceptable.

On top of that, there are stray cats all over the property. They are having babies, defecating, and spraying in the yards, which adds to the unsanitary conditions and makes it even worse for residents.

To make things worse, my car was towed from the property with NO proper signage anywhere. My vehicle was fully up to date — registered, compliant, and legally parked — and it was still towed. This feels predatory and possibly illegal.

Between the infestation, lack of accountability, stray animal issues, and questionable towing practices, this place does not take care of its tenants. Save yourself the stress and look elsewhere.

Makai is a great place to live the residents are friendly and warm spirited. The phone request that I make about my lawn not being watered do get a quick response. but after 2 weeks of good daily (evening) watering the grass won't get watered for a whole week leaving one side green and the other side dark and dry.
