The space:
Our Blue Hawaii Cottage is a beautifully fully remodeled secret gem. It is located in one of the most amazing beaches in Oahu, Malaekahana. From the front door of the cottage, you cross the front yard and go through your own private gate to the beautiful dunes and soft sand beaches of Hawaii. The beachfront home has a wonderful deck surrounding half the cottage. It has a table for outside dining and working. Inside the kitchen and living room are an open floor plan and look like a picture right out of the magazine. There is large screen TV to allow you to catch up on your favorite movies. The kitchen includes a new table and 8 chairs, as well as counter height desk. There are two bedrooms with a queen bed in each and a bathroom with a tub/ shower between the two rooms. The third bedroom includes a bunkbed and a private attached bathroom. The laundry facilities are located near the back door. The cottage is located in a shaded area of the property and have the traditional Hawaiian lever windows that allow great air flow.


The beach is 1 mile long and allows for a great walk or run. It is known for its great boogie boarding and as a wonderful place to learn to surf. If you are adventurous then cross at low tide to Goat Island, a bird sanctuary, with an amazing cove perfect for snorkeling. Advanced Surfers love the south side of Goat Island. You will find the beach quiet and extremely peaceful and you will never want to leave. And to top it off we have an amazing tropical beach cabana to lounge by the beach.

When standing at the beach looking towards the cottage you will see the amazing Ko’olua mountains where there are numerous hiking trails perfect for any level. For the novice we recommend Waimea Falls (it is all paved and you arrive at a beautiful fall that you can swim in) and for the advanced hiker consider climbing Mount Ka’ala the tallest peak in Oahu. (the hike is tough but the view is amazing).

There are some amazing places to eat within 5 minutes of our home. The Giovanni Shrimp Shack is the most famous food truck in the whole island. Nothing can beat a ‘Seven Brother’s Burgers” or the amazing New Zealand style “Sweet as” ice cream. Our favorite is the passion fruit in coconut. Enjoy some of our favorites and discover your own.
