FIRST APARTMENT AFTER WEDDING
My Navy husband and I were married in October 1967 and our first place together was a third floor ocean facing studio at this community. In all my travels since it has been my second most favorite place and I would love to return there in my now single retirement. The aloha spirit of Waianae saw me through a very frightening time...my first time away from home in Rhode Island with no family or childhood friends around me during the years of Vietnam. I would love to feel the aloha spirit of... Pokai Bay Beach Cabana apartments again.

Our Honeymoon suite 1970
My husband and I were married in June of 1970. He was stationed at Barbers Point. We lived in one of the studio apartments on the third floor facing the mountains for four months. It was a wonderful place to live. We had friends who lived closer to Barbers Point, and when they came to visit , fell in love with the place and rented an apartment on the first floor facing Pokai Bay. Our rent was $150 a month. Our 50th anniversary is in 2 1/2 yrs. How marvilous it would be to spend a week there. So... many wonderful memories.
