The Des Moines branch of National Biscuit Company was the largest bakery in Iowa at the time. Everyone today knows this company as - Nabisco. The building is of Masonry and heavy timber construction and was converted to 54 affordable single resident housing units in 1995. In 2008, the building underwent a significant remodeling. The building retains its historic character. Wood ceilings and beams, and the perimeter brick wall, remain exposed and appear virtually new.
