MAJOR GNAT INFESTATION - AVOID THIS BUILDING
As a current resident, I feel it's my duty to warn prospective tenants about a severe and ongoing gnat infestation that has plagued this building for weeks. The problem is so extreme that it's impossible to open windows or use balconies without being inundated by these pests. This makes basic enjoyment of one's apartment and outdoor spaces virtually impossible, especially during warmer weather.
The gnats appear to be attracted to the building's roof, and despite the duration and severity of the... issue, Mac Management Company and their contracted exterminators have offered very few concrete answers or effective solutions. This lack of communication and apparent inability to resolve such a significant quality-of-life issue is deeply concerning.
Until this major gnat problem is definitively resolved, I strongly advise anyone considering moving into this building to look elsewhere. Your comfort and peace of mind will be severely compromised.

5252 is the HOME
I have lived at 5252 since August 2019 and I moved out recently due to my job relocation. I was the second resident to move into the apartment and I can tell you that my time at 5252 has been absolutely fantastic!!! It has great amenities including a nice gym, pool, and sky lounge, but most importantly, the staff at 5252 are AMAZING. Dan is a great manager and he always makes sure the property is safe and clean. Kelvin and Ricardo address all maintenance issues at your unit in a prompt and... professional manner and Jackie always welcomes you with a big smile at the front desk! I will truly miss this apartment and the nice/friendly staff of 5252. 5252 gave me the best experience possible in Chicago and I have no doubt current residents & future residents will have a similar experience there as well.

Feels like home
Cheyenne, kelvin + Daniel really make this place feel like home, aside from it being a great location (in hyde park). The views of the water, city + town of hyde park are great and it’s right on the metra stop (literally)!
Any problem we’ve had, Daniel and Kevin have quickly and gracefully taken care of .
Needless to say we’re staying another year!
