It's a great location and close to my kids school and my work

This is a multi-unit building, with only 1 elevator. That means: It is used for move-ins and move-outs. It's an older building, therefore,it has a tendency to break down during the week-end. I live on the 5th floor. Although I was pleased with the space that the apartment afforded me (2 bdrms.). I have become quite disallusioned with this real estate. When and where in this country that people donot think of "MONEY" first and foremost. I have lived here for 4 years with the intent of not... renting for a very long time. I got a little too comfortable and busy. Like I stated, this is plenty of space for me but the apartment itself has a myriad of issues that the real estate has addressed but have not been able to resolve to this day. I am a senior with minimal disablities, but I go on. I have to walk up and down 5 flights of stairs when the elevator goes out. It takes days usually on weekends to repair. Needless to say I can no longer deal with this situation. Aside from the fact that the building is going section 8. I donot qualify for such and donot want to move into senior housing. I work and also donot qualify for low-income housing. I just need a 1st floor 2 bdrm. apt. I am trying to help my family member who will be attending college later this month. I am use to the space and assisting him on his new journey from out of state is my goal. It seems that affordable 2 bdrms. on this side of town are very scarse.
