The Bush Temple is located on River North and Gold Coast border. The community is comprised of two residences, a historic French Chateauesque building on Chicago Avenue and a newly constructed 15-story tower on Clark Street. Together, they provide an... authentic, amenity-rich environment to call home with two roof lounges, a fitness center, a rooftop pool, and a grand lobby.
The Bush Temple is a Chicago Landmark and pulls its name from the former headquarters of the Bush & Gerts piano company and Bush Temple school of Music Conservatory, which constructed this French Renaissance building designed by architect J.E.O Pridmore in 1901. The Bush Temple includes a restored Bush & Gerts piano on display in the communal lobby.

Do not move here, you will regret it. The new management is awful. This place used to be nice. The amount of construction is insane. Management doesn't even give you a heads up. Sometimes the construction goes on early in the morning and late into the night. All of the amenities are basically closed. There is going to be a massive rent hike and they are going to use all of this ugly remodeling as justification. I have some construction guy nailing something above my door as I type this. No... warning.
Yes, some units have a washer, but they all are terrible. Mine doesn't even fully wash/dry my clothes. My layout stated dishwasher. No dishwasher was present in the apt and I only found out after I signed the lease. The walls in the apt complexes are incredibly thin. I can hear my neighbors when they sneeze.
The lobby used to be a place where people could lounge around. All of the furniture completely removed. Now it has an ugly stale corporate feel. I'm not sure who picked out the color scheme but it looks like an outdated motel now.
New management sucked the life out of this building. I think they aren't even on premise because they are unreachable. New management doesn't respond to any emails, or really anything. They are completely absent. I've had a few of my packages stolen because they are just left out in the lobby.

Property Manager at The Bush Temple responded to this review
Hi Paulina, we’re certainly not ghosts—we’re in the office and on-site every day…
Just a heads-up: construction crews follow strict hourly regulations, perhaps late-night "nailing" is a neighbor hanging a photo? Instead of the online commentary, why... not meet us? We’d much rather help you in person than keep meeting like this in the reviews ??
