The Preserve at Osprey Lake

I’ve lived here for 15 months and initially had high hopes for this community. The property is beautiful, and the apartments themselves are fantastic—no complaints there. Unfortunately, management’s negligence and poor communication have made my experience far from stellar, culminating in a dangerous situation.

Ongoing Issues:

"Smart Home" Fee: I’ve been charged $55/month for a feature that’s never worked. Despite countless emails and hours on the phone, it was never resolved.

Mailroom Fees:... I pay for locker service, but my packages haven’t been placed in a locker for months.

Walking Path: This was a selling point but has been left overgrown and unusable. Multiple emails went unanswered.

AC Failure: On a dangerously hot day, my thermostat died. It took three emails and an in-person visit to get someone to address it, putting my pets at risk.

Dangerous Incidents:

Last summer, my keypad failed while I was out of town, stranding a friend who was checking on my pets. I was told no one could help. Tonight, at 20°F, I accidentally locked my keys and wallet inside. After an emergency ticket, the same maintenance tech told me, “There’s nothing I can do.” Without access to a neighbor or help, I was stranded for 30 minutes in freezing temperatures until the fire department let me in.

The door that leads immediately to the floor of the apartments and I'm not talking about the main entrance door, but the one on the tenant's floor are constantly slamming! There is no gadget to hold the door so it can peacefully close, these doors are disturbing and dogs constantly bark because of the doors! This problem in the buildings needs attention! My grandfather is disturbed because of this and I have friends in a few other buildings that are having the same annoying situation. The apartments are overrated for the amount they are. I’ve been living here going on a yr on orders, and I can completely say I’m so ready to go. Pros, quiet neighborhood, good gym, now let’s get straight to Cons, rent is whatever amount it says but add $400 of unknown UNNECESSARY fees to your rent. Thin floors & walls. You are a big hit or miss with neighbors, you either get the smell of marijuana or the loudness of based surround systems like no one stays on the floor as them. Excellent accommodations! Apartments are upgraded and clean. Staff attentive and responsive; including Maintence. I’ve lived here several times and compared to others, Osprey Ranks #1 in my book! Pool, sauna, fitness center, package pick up, awesome! Luv them! Highly recommend!

While being stationed in Japan I thought it would be impossible to find a place to call home but the agents were extremely flexible and provided me with top notch service and found me a home!
