The Lakes at Lionsgate Apartments

There are many issues with this apartment complex. It takes a long time to get anything fixed. They do NOT have the maintenance staff that is needed for an apartment complex that size. It can take weeks or months if they ever get around to fixing whatever is broken. So whether it is your AC, a plumbing issue, washer or dryer, be prepared to wait a very long time. The two pools on the property are rarely open during the summer. If they do open them, they are slimy and green, and the whole... area is trashed. The other amenities are rarely open as well to the residents. The trash bins are constantly overflowing, and trash is everywhere. There is mold and spiders, including brown recluse. The mailboxes are broken. Many times they do not answer the phone and you’ll find the office is closed during hours that they should be open. They will give a master key to third parties to come into your apartment without any advanced notice. They will also move your car when workers come for things like a new roof. They do give proper notice to give people time to move their cars themselves. Then they claim there was a mixup with the emails. Management does not care they will avoid you and hide from you. Once lease is signed, if there are no maintenance issues you are good. If there is any you will have to visit leasing office multiple times and please them until it is resolved or give up . This is not something new and every neighbors I met are in the same boat. Also do not get trapped into by looking into some 5 star reviews . You can realize if you are at leasing office for couple of hours . Why a tenant has to follow-up multiple times for maintenance issues and they should be addressed. Below are the timing it took to fix various maintenance issues:

Outside storage closet: never got a key that worked
Back door: Lock was broken had to use a stick to manually lock it
AC went out: Took 18 days to fix.
Busted pipes leaking water: Took 24 days to fix.
Hot water heater: never fixed after 2 years only provided work around that allows hot water to work for 1-2 weeks at a time.
Garbage Disposal: Took 90 days to fix.
Kitchen sink leak: Took 34 days to fix.
Washing machine not working... and leaking water: Waiting for resolution after 17 days -- Apartment is starting to smell moldy.

This place is absolutely terrible and I would not suggest living here to my worst enemy. I have had to get in multiple cussing battles with staff members as that seems to be the only way to get any response from maintenance. I recently had maintenance in my apartment that has enhanced my level of safety. While work that was completed met all my expectations it was the level of customer service that truly made the difference. Andrew and Brandy were exceptional in the speed with which they completed the task but what set them apart was the manner in which they did so with complete customer service at the forefront.

Where does one begin when writing a review that really should be entitled PRAISE when it comes to the attention given to me and my home by Andrew and Brandy. I will start by focusing on Andrew and his work ethic – I can think of only one or two other people in any profession I have ever encountered, and that was long ago, that reflected the level of work ethic that Andrew demonstrated throughout the entire time he was working in my home. He not only valued how I was doing throughout the entire... time he spent working but valued my home not as someone who was just a renter but more so as someone who owned the place. The professionalism displayed in his work, his expertise as he moved from task to task, and his willingness to allow me to watch and ask questions along the way was second to none. I felt confident in everything he did within my home as it left me with a feeling that, going forward, I would not be submitting a work order to have something repaired or replaced if Andrew had worked on it. With Andrew, from the start, I was put at ease and thus made to feel very comfortable having in him in my home moving about from room to room.
