Disappointed!

I don’t know what it is, but this is the second apartment complex in Topeka that I’ve scheduled to see a unit and it fell through by way of the property manager. I’m disappointed because I really wanted to see these. On 10/13/2020 my appointment was scheduled to be at 2:00p. I arrived 10 minutes earlier, waited around for 30 mins, called a few times and left a voicemail. I had another showing to get to but still attempted to wait a little to get in touch with the property manager (I don’t live… in Topeka) and got no answer. I finally received a call back at around 4:30p as I was already well on the highway driving back home. Apparently the property manager had a family emergency which is why she was out of the office. Why isn’t there backup or a way to contact people in the event that this happens again? Fast forward almost a month later (11/6/2020), I called and left a voicemail to schedule another viewing at this same complex and still have yet to have my phone call returned (I’m writing this on 11/9/2020). The business hours are from 8a-12p and 1p-5p. I called during business hours. What is really going on with this complex?
