Awful experience
We moved into this apartment expecting a move-in ready home and unfortunately had a very stressful experience from the beginning. Within days of move-in we experienced multiple maintenance and habitability concerns, including ongoing HVAC problems, plumbing leaks, a missing/defective patio door handle and lock, and concerns involving water intrusion and possible mold around the HVAC area. We also found evidence of pest activity in parts of the unit.
While maintenance did eventually respond to... several items, many of the issues required repeated follow-up and were not fully resolved during the time we lived there. The HVAC system in particular continued malfunctioning even after attempted repairs.
Communication was one of the most frustrating parts of the experience. We often struggled to get clear updates regarding maintenance timing and next steps, and at one point experienced a lock issue where we were unable to access the apartment and could not reach emergency maintenance assistance. When we asked about not hearing from them, we were informed that lockouts are not part of emergency maintenance but that the door knob with a lock should have been removed prior to move in.
As a couple preparing for the arrival of our baby, this experience was extremely stressful and ultimately led us to vacate the apartment shortly after move-in because we did not feel the unit was in a safe and stable condition for our family.
I would strongly encourage future residents to thoroughly inspect their unit at move-in and document any concerns immediately.
