Hallway echos even if someone whispers so you hear everything very loud especially slamming doors. Most units only have a window in the bedroom. Apartment above ours was redone and ever since you can hear every movement. Either rude or inconsiderate upstairs neighbors(I have seen notes on people's doors everything from apologizing for jumping around in their apartment, to telling other people to shut up stop yelling fighting with your partner) inconvenient "outside care" mainly a leaf blower... outside of your bedroom window multiple days in a row and then their will be piles of leaves everywhere still. You are not going to get more than one parking space in lot and if anything is happening at the park especially when it's warm and the pool is open if you have to park on street good luck, you will end up having to go blocks away and walk. People don't pick up their dog doo in the back yard. There is a public "deck" that is falling apart and eventually someone will end up breaking their legs from it coming down.
Atleast you don't hear the neighbors next door to you (i wish It was the same for above) all utilities included which is great but the rent has gone up and I'm sure will continue to do so. The park is right next to the building which like I said can be a curse or a blessing. If your going to stay long term document everything because eventually stuff starts to fall apart like screws will pop up out of the fake wood floor, the tiles in bathroom will start to pop out, stuff that was just kind of slapped together will start to come apart. It's pretty small but it's really nice for one person or a couple if you have animals they are allowed. The shared space like laundry room sometimes are destroyed but that's only by a few if any. The doors have code locks but the landlord will leave them open along with other tenants someone coming in has never really been a worry for me but the flys and bugs they let in have been a problem. There are not roaches or bugs like that but flys and mosquitos do get in when people leave the door open. Make sure you make a good impression on the landlord. It's in a nice area and it's probably the cheapest place your going to find in the area (along with the sister building on central avenue) so if your willing to put up with some bologna then it's worth it. Just pray you have decent neighbors above you. And around you. And hope everyone else can just be courteous adults when it comes to noise in the hall slamming doors.

The owner was attentive with issues and friendly to deal with. Walking distance to Chevy Chase shopping and Kroger. Loved our two years there!!

1.Security of the tenants( Front doors inside of unsurveillanced hallways). One deadbolt and no other type of security on door.
Someone came into my locked apartment at three in the morning. My dog and I both heard it open and close after the intruder recognized I had my door barricaded. I immediately informed my landlord and asked that he put in cameras for security. He did not want to and offered me an early lease termination.
2.I moved in with the understanding that there weren't any noise... issues.
The walls in this apartment building are paper thin and you can hear EVERYTHING from all directions. You can even hear conversations in the halls from inside the apartments. The people living here are not quiet either.
3. Mold, old, etc.
There is black mold in the air vents, small amount of roaches, No screens on my window. I requested the window screen in the beginning and never received one. I wanted fresh air since there was mold in the house.
In conclusion, if you are wanting privacy, peace, safety and value the health of your lungs this is not the place for you. I would not recommend it to anyone.
