DO NOT MOVE HERE
Do NOT live at The Fitzgerald. This place has gone completely downhill.
I moved in right before the new property management company took over, and at first, it was a decent place to live. The second the new company stepped in, everything went to hell.
They cut down all the beautiful old growth trees and made the already limited parking situation worse by dropping multiple cargo containers in the lot for eight months. Residents had nowhere to park — and they did nothing about it.
Their... so-called “renovations” were a joke. They ripped out our functional cabinets and replaced them with cheap white ones that cut our kitchen storage in HALF. They added a washer/dryer combo that does not dry anything. Oh, and during this renovation I didn’t ask for, they took my working oven and replaced it with one that didn’t even work — and then left me without a functioning oven for over two weeks. I had to constantly follow up just to get a basic appliance fixed, which is literally against renters' rights.
The complex is no longer safe. There have been multiple incidents requiring police presence, including a shooting. I was personally attacked by a drunk neighbor — and none of this was ever acknowledged or addressed by management. I even found live bullets on the ground. I picked them up myself and handed them to the leasing office because there are children who live here.
The property is trashed. Constant broken glass, garbage everywhere, and zero upkeep. They told everyone the pool would open early this year. Guess what? It never opened. Probably because they left water in it all winter and damaged the plumbing.
The only saving grace is the leasing office staff — the girls working there are kind and clearly doing their best, but their hands are tied by a management company that clearly doesn’t care about the property or its residents. Maintenance requests go ignored, rent is increasing, and quality of living is rapidly decreasing.
Bottom line: This place is unsafe, unkept, and not worth your money. Stay far away from The Fitzgerald.
