Park Rowe Apartments - Perkins Rowe

I strongly advise against leasing at this property. My college-aged son moved in six months ago, and problems began immediately. Upon move-in, there was visible mold in the air vents. Management initially painted over it rather than properly addressing the issue. Only after repeated emails did they hire a company to clean the vents, but no clear explanation of the remediation was provided. Additional maintenance concerns, including crooked cabinets, were reported but never resolved, reflecting a… larger pattern of neglect and poor accountability.

The most serious issue has been an ongoing flea infestation for over a month. My son has no pets, keeps the apartment clean, vacuums daily, washes bedding constantly, and has followed all treatment recommendations. Despite two professional exterminator visits, fleas remain and he continues to be bitten daily. Management repeatedly minimized the situation. Even after acknowledging fleas were present, they denied our request for a unit transfer and claimed the issue was somehow being “brought in.” After I explained I would not accept a third exterminator inspection results unless my son was present, they agreed to a transfer of units. But this came with a cost of a new signed lease, although our current lease ends April 2027, AND about $175 per month increase in rent for a third floor apartment. No tenant should be expected to live in these conditions and should not be punished financially for transferring units due to FLEAS!

Communication from management has been poor throughout, with calls and messages often ignored for days. Based on our experience, I cannot recommend this property to anyone seeking safe, responsive, and professional management. Read More

Perkins Rowe is a great place to live in, a miniature city!
Perkins Rowe Apts are nice, no elevators, but that was fine. THE PROBLEM HERE: Wifi can be an issue depending on where I am standing in my apartment so much so that I don't pay bills online inside my apartment as I've paid some twice...WATER PRESSURE: it's an issue here in Louisiana, and having a shower you will experience it..DOGS: They allow them which is great BUT TENANTS DONT PICK UP AFTER THEIR DOGS ON THE PROPERTY, and there is… dog poop everywhere...management doesn't enforce any other policies then emails...THE POOL: this property has the best pool in this area, which is a perk to live here..HOWEVER ANYONE CAN WALK ONTO THE PROPERTY AND USE IT...LITERALLY. On the weekends? IT IS THE WORST, tenants are only allowed 2 guests...the music is loud, there is no security and it leaves a tenant open to an altercation with someone that doesn't live here...living in apartments is COMMUNAL LIVING...it requires one to be respectful to others..living here? I've turned around and left due to what was going on at pool. the pool policy? to enforce it, there needs to be someone to be there for safety purposes. these are things you will not know unless you live here and see it. I really loved living in Park Rowe. It’s a bit expensive for the sq-ft, but the quality of experience makes up for that.

Over 12 months of living here, I only needed to call maintenance twice and they showed up and fixed my issues the same day.

There is trash pickup every weekday, which is very convenient (though I often brought my trash to the dumpster myself).

The gym, pool, grills, and little dog park are great. I felt safe here, even walking my dog at night. And there are many trash cans… for disposing of dog waste—though not everyone used them unfortunately :/

Parking was always available, though visitors must park in certain visitor areas and hang a visitor placard on their rear view—this was strictly enforced. I’ve seen people’s cars booted within minutes of them parking. Annoying when your visitor is booted, but this policy ensures there’s always available parking for residents.

I love the Perkins Rowe area. It’s mostly expensive boutiques, but it’s a very nice area to walk around and I always go to Barnes and Noble.

My only complaint is the lack of elevator. Read More
