In general for student living it is not bad; however, there are plenty of problems. To start, I have lived here for the last two years and neither year has my duplex's heat worked. There is a specific way you have to change between AC and heat, but even after doing it correctly it simply doesn't work for more than a few hours at a time. We've had maintenance here more times than we can count and they still can't fix it. Usually by the time they can find a way to fix it, the weather is back to… being warm. Next, the upkeep of some amenities is less than ideal. My friends and I love playing pickup basketball, but the backboards of both hoops are cracked and the rims are tilted and loose. The coffee machine works maybe 1/3 of the time if you go before the office opens (10AM) or after it closes (6PM). If you go while it is open its more of a 2/3 chance of it working and usually if you ask them to fix it they can help. Much of the equipment in the gym, mainly machines and treadmills, are broken or not working in some way. Also, we have had some bug problems. My roommate who live on the first floor has cockroaches crawling out of holes in his bathroom almost every day. We also have had a few and infestations that spread everywhere in the house. Lastly, I wanted to add that a number of residents do not know how to act. Walking around, you will often catch whiffs of weed from people smoking on their balconies, and if you walk past you are likely to be catcalled, yelled at, or made fun of in some way. Read More
