Apartment nightmare
I’ve only been living in this apartment complex for a few weeks, and my experience has been extremely disappointing.
Within the first few days, I noticed a strong sewage-like odor coming from the unit. I tried multiple ways to eliminate it myself, but nothing worked. I attempted to open the windows for ventilation, but there are no screens, and I ended up dealing with insects getting inside.
When I reported the issue, maintenance briefly stopped by and claimed there was no smell and that... everything was functioning properly. They didn’t even notice that the toilet was leaking until I pointed it out. After their “investigation,” I was told the odor was marijuana-related and that there was nothing they could do. They then closed the service request without resolving the issue.
Because the odor persisted, I had to seal off the main bedroom and bathroom. I purchased an expensive air purifier and have been staying in the smaller bedroom. I’ve spent hundreds of dollars on air-cleaning products, yet I still wake up with a sore throat and persistent cough.
There are also multiple maintenance issues throughout the unit:
* The dishwasher was dirty and appeared to have mold. Maintenance initially dismissed it, but after I used it, my dishes came out covered in black residue. Only then did they acknowledge the problem.
* The refrigerator does not maintain proper temperature. If I lower it, the freezer melts; if I raise it, items in the fridge freeze. My milk regularly turns to ice.
* When the AC turns on, the entire apartment shakes significantly.
* The washer was dirty and required me to purchase cleaning products to make it usable.
* The dryer was full of lint, which I also had to clean myself.
* The garbage containers are consistently dirty.
Overall, this has been a very frustrating and concerning experience. If you value your health and comfort, I would strongly reconsider renting here.

At the... time of your service request, our team promptly inspected the concerns reported, including the odor and dishwasher. While no sewage-related issue was detected, we still took additional steps as a courtesy, including treating the area and ultimately replacing the dishwasher with a brand-new unit.
Regarding the odor concern, we made every effort to investigate thoroughly and also addressed a potential neighboring source by communicating directly with that resident. We appreciate your patience as we worked through that process.
We were not made aware of the additional concerns mentioned in your review—such as the refrigerator, HVAC, washer/dryer, or other items—and we would have welcomed the opportunity to address these promptly had they been reported to our team.
