The original part... of the house was a raised Louisiana Cottage built in 1814, then an addition was added in 1860, then the brick castle enclosure of the existing buildings - with the addition of the porte cochere and turrets - in 1910. In the 1940s apartments were created within the structure to help the family get by during the depression.

Each apartment is one-of-a-kind. All utilities are included with the rental fee (water, electric, fast internet, sewer, trash). These apartments each have their own character, Some are newly renovated while others sometimes have old kitchen/bathroom facilities, so you trade unique and fascinating for modern and updated. The house is situated on 5 beautiful acres with old, old live oaks, magnolias, crepe myrtles, cedar, camellias...did I say camellias?!. Loads of hydrangeas, lilies, roses, holly, azaleas.
