The Amelia is located in Quincy Center. For us that means that our medical offices are in the next building, together with our credit union offices. The US Post Office is a block away; the public library is a block away; there is a park across the street with fountains; the City Hall of Quincy is in the park; food shopping is two blocks away on Southern Artery; there are nearby restaurants, coffee shops, convenience stores, a dry-cleaning shop that does alterations; the Red Line of the MBTA is… across Hancock St, a block away. In other words, for us the location is excellent! We enjoy the view to the east--we can see Fore River Bay, the sail boats, Quincy Bay, the eastern part of Boston, shipping, air traffic into and out of Logan. The YMCA with huge swimming pool and all kinds of physical activities to choose from with membership, although the Amelia has its own "workout" room on the 2nd floor. There's a "concierge" service for packages as well as USPS regular deliveries. If you have a dog, there's a dog park. If you like to grill there's a deck with two big gas-fired grills for picnics and private parties. Occasionally there are social events to which all residents are invited. Maintenance issues in regard to apartments in The Amelia are in our experience always dealt with quickly and efficiently whether it's routine changes in heater/AC filters or spot problems like plumbing, appliances, lighting. This makes living here more comfortable and reassuring. Excellent service!

If you can afford the rent you don’t have to look at any other buildings. Living in downtown Quincy is great. I have lived here 50 years and own a house as well. I feel like I am living in a hotel. The mayor has fixed up downtown and everything is close. My view of the Atlantic Ocean is awesome
