The Apartments at Elmwood Terrace

There are several reasons that this complex is an unsafe place to live. I witnessed violent crimes in the parking lot. Many drug deals are happening throughout. There is an influx of people coming and going from inside the buildings due to such behaviors at all hours . There is even a gang that lives in the complex. I moved out due to these reasons and more. Including the fact that I was in a building with one-bedroom apartments and a family of five lived above me. I could hear them running... around and yelling at all hours of the day as late as 2 am. This was so much so to the point it would rattle my light fixtures and dishes in my cabinets. There were many bugs that I would see all around the apartment no matter how clean it was kept. The parking was terrible not just on the daily but when moving in and out having to walk through the entire complex to carry things into the building. Especially with such a high crime rate and not wanting to leave the building or cars open this becomes a problem. If I came back after 5 pm there was never any parking. Many spots were taken by the office work trucks overnight. They replace the carpet after moving out without any damages and charge the renter for the replacement costs. They say they replace them before a new person moves in but never mention that the renter would pay the cost. Overall just an unsafe environment that is overpriced for what it is. Read More

I currently live at these apartments and I gotta say I really hate living here. Due to its reputation and just the whole atmosphere. I read the other reviews saying there is roaches and just be aware they’re are A LOT of roaches and other bugs. Parking is all together horrible getting to the apartments is already tight jammed. Due to other residents parked on the side of the of the road. Since most residents have multiple cars per apartment. Community is very loud, from 3pm to sometimes late in... the night you still hear people shouting. Parking is terrible anybody parks there if they don’t want to park on the side of the road. Kids can be seen loitering and running in and out of apartments. They also litter and make messes in the inside of the apartments. Office staff is very incompetent. Overpriced for what you get. Staff is helpful. Everytime need something fixed the maintenance staff is so helpful and have a fast response.

Everyone is very friendly. Maintenance is handled very quickly. Friendly and I feel safe.

This is the absolute worst place to live in Frederick. They treat their residents like trash. My time living here I received threat notices time to time. They didn’t care to fix the roach problem until a resident moved out then I stopped seeing them a lot. I wouldn’t recommend no one to move at Elmwood.
