Verified Renter
The contractor was giving a key to my unit and showed up the next day unannounced to complete the work that he'd comfirmed the day before was completed. Thankfully I have a camera and was able to stop them from entering my unit unannounced (they didn't ring the bell at all). They left sharp cut bolts on the sink and the toilet still rocks because they did not replace the subfloor, they just removed the self leveler and built it back up with a additional piece of plywood. Also, the subfloor was... soaked when they closed the floor back up so there will definitely be mold growth at some point. The original floor planks were reused and now are raised up with gaps. The bandage may be ok for now, but not long. I had to babysit my door because the contractors left it open everytime they went in and out, although I asked them to close it. Oh, and the toilet flange seems to not be secured properly being as tho its screwed to the 1st wet layer of subfloor and not the new 3/4plywood they added. I informed the leasing office immediately and asked them to NEVER allow access to my unit by a contractor without 1)notifing me, and; 2)being accompanied by a Greystar staff member.
