Good price. Landlord is laid back and relaxed. The property is well kept and any maintenance issues are taken care of quickly. I highly recommend it.

I can’t rave enough about this place! Definitely a hidden gem. I had an amazing experience. The owner and landlord were so accommodating, especially since I was a working student. This apartment was the perfect size for me. I had no issues, but someone was always available if I had any questions or concerns. This place was great, I would rent again if I were still in the area. I'm going to miss this place, may have even been a little spoiled by it. Very affordable for the location with all amenities included! Can't beat that! The apartment was small but cozy with all the necessities. Close to the metro and walking distance to a grocery store among other things. Any problems I had were quickly taken care of quickly. My wife and I had a wonderful two-year experience with cardinal hill apartments. For its size, location, and value, the place cannot be beat and management was attentive and responsive on all fronts: everything from minor fixes in the bathroom to laundry room maintenance, we generally had our needs met. The kitchen was large for the room size and equipped with all of the latest appliances that one would find in condos and luxury apartments. We had our security deposit returned promptly and in... full and the property owner, Joel, even gave us a very substantial rent discount during the month of December as a Holiday gift to all tenants. Strict Background and credit checks insured that tenants were screened and from my experience, management was very flexible with my move-in and move-out dates which made the moving process smoother. The only negatives are the occasional loud noise from nearby houses and lack of an efficient public transport system nearby, although there is a bus stop and umd shuttle stop a block away. If you are looking to live on your own and not share a house with a bunch of people, you won't find a more affordable apartment than at Cardinal Hill. Utilities (except cable and internet) and parking are also included in the rent so this just adds to the savings. Despite the low price, apartments are in decent shape and maintenance requests are usually addressed quickly. No mice, cockroaches or bed bugs. The building is pretty quiet and the surrounding area is pretty safe. There are laundry... services on site and while the buildings policy (assigned days to do laundry) is not the best, it is better than nothing.

The location is a little isolated so if location is high on your priority than this might not be the place for you. Also, don't expect all the amenities of a larger and more modern complex. If you are just looking for a quiet, simple and affordable place to live than I would strongly suggest this place. You probably won't find anything else like it in the area. Read More
