Hampshire West

My apartment is in the middle of a suburban/city like area in Silver Spring MD. I am staying in a 3 bedroom apartment with two other girls and we are all Howard Graduate students. Right now life is hard because we are broke college kids. Our apartment's management is understanding of this situation and they extend the rent's due date until the 10th of each month if you need it. There is a pool and a play ground and plenty of families in our buildings. I believe that we are the only college... students in the building; it's a very family oriented and pet friendly area. The only things that I don't like is that calling to talk to management can be tricky since they sometimes tell you two different things. So it's best to come over for a visit then to call. The rooms are spacious and the kitchen is big enough for a regular sized family. The bathroom doesn't have a fan, which is the worst thing about this apartment because bathroom smells linger longer than they need to. There are 3 bus stops near by that can take you to the metro stations or into downtown Silver Spring. All in all, it's a good place to live, the only reason why I would move is to be closer to a metro station and/or school. Read More

I have been living at Hampshire West Apartments for 3 years and I have been very pleased with management. The apartment complex is very clean and the maintenance is very attentive to our needs. (Kuddos to Julio). Also, My two bedroom is huge and I have ample storage throughout the apartment. Beyond anything else, I always feel safe regardless of what time I leave or enter my apartment. I will say that rent is a bit more expensive compared to other apartments, HOWEVER, there is not a price for... my peace of mind, safety and security.
