Forced out tenants because of roach infestation
In August 2024, this place forced all their residents out because they couldn’t control the roach infestation. They did not provide help for moving, finding a new place, or rent reimbursement. GLM owns several apartment properties, yet they provided no alternatives or deals to move into another one of their properties. Leonard East sat empty for the winter and now with some new balconies and paint, they are back on the market… save yourself the stress and find a different place to live. The bugs... are still there and will always be there until the buildings are demolished.

We appreciate your feedback and understand the frustration this situation caused. The persistent pest issue was something we inherited from previous ownership, and we fought long and hard to alleviate the problem with extensive treatments and... preventative measures. Despite our best efforts, we saw little reprieve, leading us to make the difficult but necessary decision to temporarily vacate the property in order to fully remediate the issue.
Since then, we have worked diligently with professional exterminators to ensure a 100% pest-free environment, and we are proud to say that Leonard East has undergone upgrades to improve the living experience. In addition to exterior renovations such as new balconies, we have also made interior enhancements, including new flooring, fixtures, closet systems, and a complete refresh with updated paint throughout the units.
Our goal has always been to provide a clean, comfortable, and welcoming place for our residents, and we remain committed to ongoing maintenance and improvements. If you have any questions or would like to speak directly with management, please don't hesitate to reach out.
