ALLOWS SMOKING! New units with nice layout, management is a nightmare
My partner and I have moved a lot in the last few years, so we have a broad range of experience with apartment managers. Zephyr was, by far, the worst. There were several significant maintenance issues upon move-in, each of which took days or weeks to resolve. The maintenance staff was slow to respond and the head maintenance person was pretty rude. The workers who actually came to help us were lovely.
Worst of all, the whole place allows smoking (I didn't even know that was legal nowadays)... and the ventilation/walls/ceilings are not good at protecting you from smoke in other units.
At the very end of our lease, the management suddenly switched to another company. This transition was unexpected and communicated so poorly that we thought it was a scam. Granted, the new management is nicer and more flexible, but seem to be at least somewhat disorganized.
The units are well-designed, especially the kitchens and it's close to lots of shops whole being out of the way of traffic.
