Z on Plymouth Luxury Apartments

DO NOT LIVE HERE. The company "managing" this complex only wants your money, and will do everything in their power to make your life a living nightmare if it means they don't have to fix the issues brought to their attention. A homeless shelter offers better and safer accommodations.

I lived in this location for a long time (5+ years) and until JMZ Management took it over it was a great place to live. Affordable, clean, in decent working order. Since they took it over in November 2025 it has... been a nightmare to live here.

The snow /ice was never taken care of, even though there are elderly residents who have mobility issues. I almost fell at LEAST 3 times just walking out the door to get to my car because it was solid slick ice without any salt or shoveling, eight outside the building door. The washing machine and dryer were down for months, and every time anybody has contacted Management they have "had issues with the third party contractors that handle those issues", despite it being an "amenity" in our original lease agreement. The fetid, rotting water in the washer that was there over a month had literal floating mold and bacterial colonies on top of it, and its still unusable.

The "renovations" they're doing to buildings built in the 1940's are a poorly applied coat of paint and holes around the electrical boxes they installed, vinyl flooring in the hallways that doesn't match up, and maintenance staff fueled by AI chat bot tickets without any direct contact numbers available to residents.

My neighbors and I have been locked out months in advance of our leases being canceled due to faulty code door locks, contractors have left burners "accidentally on" on the stoves right next to flammable construction materials LEFT ON THE STOVES for the building to catch on fire. My heat/ac was turned off during a "temporary power interruption" caused by the "renovations" because it flipped the breaker in the basement, during the coldest months of the year, and I only discovered it myself because I went into the communal basement and looked at the PUBLIC-ACCESSABLE breaker boxes.

Every time I have been contacted by the maintenance staff it has been a different person with a different number who just makes excuses instead of fixing any issue for weeks on end, so there is zero consistency in accountability and it takes WEEKS to get any issues resolved.

My experience living at Z on Plymouth has been outstanding. Since we moved in, everything has been exactly as promised. The property is clean, quiet, and it's obvious that ownership genuinely cares about the community.

One thing that really stands out is the maintenance team. It seems like they're always on the property working, improving things, and responding quickly whenever something needs attention. It's refreshing to live somewhere that doesn't wait for problems to become bigger issues... before taking care of them.

The renovations are beautiful, and our apartment feels modern, bright, and well-designed. The new kitchen, flooring, appliances, and in-unit laundry have made a huge difference. Management has also been professional, friendly, and easy to communicate with throughout our time here.

I keep trying to leave my review which demonstrates the horror I’ve encountered living here . These apartments are not luxury, they are below average . As these new lessors have taken over things have went downhill. I've lost power and water multiple times they've made ( renovations ) which have left damage in the unit that they still haven't fixed. Maintenance requests that I've put forth have been removed without services rendered. They tried to double charge me multiple times and now have randomly unjustly raised my rent contrary to my lease and rent agreement. Don't live here it's a constant headache that isn't worth it. Honestly one of the nicest apartments I’ve toured in the area. The renovations are top notch and everything feels fresh and updated. The leasing team was super helpful and made the process easy. Definitely recommend checking this place out.
