Meadowfield Townhomes of Rochester Hills

The first winter we were there the furnace kept turning off in the middle of the night. Us and our newborn would wake up to a 60 degree house. They attempted to fix it several times and each time it would break again that night. Finally they replaced an entire electrical board in the unit and it worked. The next winter the entire furnace caught on fire from an electrical problem inside the unit. I had to sleep elsewhere for several days while they got the new furnace permitted by the city. It… was later revealed they installed it without a permit and the city came and gave it a permit after the fact.

Additionally, the front door and surrounding doorframe were rotting and allowing cold winter air and rain to come into my townhouse. I filed many complaints and maintenance requests only to get unprofessional patchwork solutions that never worked and made my front door look trashy to visitors. On a call with the regional manager Sue, she was very rude and implied that all the problems I had experienced were my fault. When I asked them to replace the door she told me, in a very rude way, that they couldn’t accommodate my request in such short notice (I had been complaining for over a year) and that I should move out.

On a final note, these townhouses are completely open to the outside. When they cut the grass the entire townhouse smelled strongly of grass. Maintenance team came out and quickly assessed the issue. Gave me timelines when parts will be in and when they can fix it. Their communication is great!

I have lived here for 2 years and have really enjoyed it. I moved into a freshly renovated and carpeted apartment. I enjoy my neighbors and the neighborhood. There are several playgrounds for my son to play on and sidewalks throughout the property to take a walk.

My service requests are addressed by the next business day and done well!
