Kirkway Apartments

The staff has been extremely helpful and accommodating in all aspects of the application and move-in process. They arranges tons of activities and amenities for the residents and there is a real sense of community here. Every neighbor I have met so far is very friendly and they have nothing but nice things to say about living here. I am definitely glad I made the choice to go with Kirkway Apartments!

If any adult applicant has a history of a bankruptcy (active, dismissed, or discharged) DO NOT APPLY TO THIS PLACE. The company that does their credit checks will not approve your application regardless of the status of the bankruptcy. The leasing office staff was clueless in regards to this information and you will lose your application fee ($50 per credit report) overnight with little to show for it other than a short call from a number cruncher. The credit score of the remainder of the... occupants is irrelevant as long as a single applicant has a prior bankruptcy filing. The apartment complex is very nice - very clean and laid out nicely

The apartment itself is also very nice - there is not a lot of noise from surrounding apartments, the lay out is comfortable and the ammenities are decent.

A couple of items could be better - the appliances are OK but somewhat outdated, the windows are ok but are not the best, the rent is a little high, there complex ammenities are ok but could be better.

All in all - I like it. There could be more for the price I pay but... all in all it is a very nice place to live. Read More

I have lived here just a year and my family loves it! We have a 2bd, 2 bath townhouse with partially finished basement. The whole process from applying and signing the lease was very smooth, with no problems. The ladies that work in the office are very friendly and helpful. The complex has a nice pool, gym and clubhouse. There are monthly resident events. My experience is that is has always been quiet and safe. I also really enjoy the location and area, close enough to all the amenities, but... quiet enough that your not in a really busy area. Not far from here are very nice farms too to give you that country feel. Our townhouse is bright and new and clean, with a great 2 car garage and the basement is great for storage or a playroom. We actually put a rug down and turned it into a guest bedroom in one area and storage in the other part (put a curtain up as partition) They have new buildings here, just finished this past spring and I believe may have plans for more buildings in the future. My husband and I have been looking for a place to move for 5 months since he has been transfered in the Macomb area. We have seen a lot of nice homes and apartments, but we keep coming back to Kirkway. I am very excited to live here coming from living in houses, I think that they did well giving you the home feeling not apartment feel!!!!!!
