The apartment is cute. The location is great. The leasing office folks are nice to talk to. So why am I giving it 2 stars?

Because the leasing office people lied to me, ruined my housing plans, and seemingly have no remorse or care at all about what they did.

I was told when I signed the lease here that I would be able to convert it to a month-to-month lease (which is why I picked it). This was perfect for me, because I didn’t want to feel rushed in looking for a more permanent home (I moved... here early 2025). Tell me why, then, I learned today through casual conversation with one of the property managers that not only are they no longer honoring that agreement, but I also only have 22 days to decide if I’m reupping the lease. On top of this, they don’t even have a short term lease option.

I went from expecting to be able to take my time to find my dream home, to being forced to make a decision for the foreseeable future within 3 weeks. Absolutely unfair and anti-human practice engaged here.

I don’t want to pick my new home under duress, and I don’t want to move to a new apartment — but more than both of those, I don’t want to give a year’s worth of my salary in rent to these people that will so callously lie and rip our agreement away. Read More

Terrible customer service, outdated apartments, not worth the price. Stay away!

I recently signed a lease and was excited to move into what was advertised as an upscale, luxury apartment. I asked the property manager if the outdated popcorn ceiling finishes in my unit could be removed before I move in. Unfortunately, they declined and suggested I hire a third-party company to remove it.

This was very disappointing, especially given the apartment's luxury branding. Popcorn ceilings are not only... outdated but also difficult to clean and maintain. Removing them should be part of the standard for a property marketed as modern and upscale.

The staff at Excelsior and Grand are the best!
I cant stress how much I appreciate all they do for the residents.
They are so hands on...
The activities are a great way to meet others in your community.
They continue to upgrade these apartment buildings which is appreciated.

Our family needed a place to stay here while we remodel our home. Marie and Meagan are nice women to work with, and receptive and accomodating. They helped us get furniture through Cort. Cort set up our place in l5 minutes! It was great! The area is quiet (we live on 4th floor) and the people around me couldn't be nicer! I love that we have a mix of little kids, older generation of people and middle age people living around us. It is nice. I also like living next to Kindercare. Hearing cute... little voices throughout my day is nice and assuring. The fireplace is very nice and warms up our place fast. Management has come to fix things and has done a great job.

Marie and Meagan have helped our family to make a transition into a home and have been receptive, warm and just nice ladies. I appreciate that as moving is stressful.

The management team wants to take your money as soon as they can. DO NOT BOTHER TOURING THE WILL GET YOU TO SIGN A LEASE BY DISGUISING IT AS A PRE-LEASE AGREEMENT
