Loud sirens and management doesn’t seem to care
From when I first moved. Lexi was helping me with the lease signing. On the day I was moving in, just an hour before I called into the office to ask why there wasn’t any instructions or key to open the door etc; and she said that my renter’s insurance didn’t even come through on their end even though I made sure that everything was set. So I ended up calling the office multiple times because it seems as though I was managing everything myself and a very awkward girl on the phone was getting... annoyed with me calling back several times. I had no other choice because she seemed like she didn’t care. I’m about to move in and I didn’t even have the proper keys to even get into my apartment, and we had already scheduled a move in date.
Secondly, the key that was given to me supposedly for my mail box wasn’t even correct. In the lease it gives you a list of what comes with the lease and that is a key to your own mailbox. So I called the office and they had me pay an extra $25 for a new key that they gave me wrong.
Third, they don’t give you a fair compensation for a damage in the apartment. AC was out for 18 days in my apartment in the middle of the July/August it was so hot in my apartment I had to move back home for a while. What had happened was that they had been rescheduled work order with the same technician who repeatedly rescheduled the appointment so it got delayed out to a total of 18 days with no AC. I got fed up and went straight to the office and told them to find another AC tech. It’s Kansas City, there isn’t only ONE AC TECH for crying out loud. So they did and he came that very next day. The office did provide an AC unit that was brand new compared the last time they gave me was an old one that only blew hot air and made the temperature even hotter which was originally why I declined. And for the compensation? Was a $100 gift card. A $100 gift card not even a deduction from rent a gift card for $100 for more than half of the month with no AC. You tell me if this is reasonable or not.
3 stars because a new manager recently came and she has been super helpful with everything. And for the maintenance, they’re super quick with getting any work done.
